Salmantinos Shine at National Martial Arts Championship
The Shinbudokan Salamanca delegation made a stunning debut at the Gold Fighter ISMA National Championship in Mexico City, they showcased their talent and determination. In a competition packed with top-tier martial artists, , securing first-place finishes in kata, point fighting, and kata with weapons, marking an incredible start to the competitive year. A Resounding Victory for Salamanca
The Gold Fighter tournament, sanctioned by the International Society of Martial Artists (ISMA), gave Salamanca’s martial artists an excellent platform to shine. It also helped them earn crucial points for qualifying for the Panamerican International Championship later this year in Miami, Florida. Nine competitors, aged 11 to 17, participated. Each athlete contributed to the team’s outstanding performance.
Gratitude and Recognition
After the competition, the team presented their awards to local authorities during a black belt exam at the Fray Camilo Montes Vega sports facilities. Guillermo Pérez Martínez, head of Shinbudokan Salamanca, expressed his gratitude to the municipality, particularly for their transportation support. “The kids brought back fantastic results, and we’re truly grateful for the support,” he said.
A Path to International Recognition
This championship marked the first step in the team’s journey toward international recognition. With experience in global competitions, such as Juan Emmanuel Granados Hernández’s world championship appearances, the team is now preparing for tournaments in cities like Irapuato, Aguascalientes, León, and Celaya.

With over 35 years of martial arts experience, coach Guillermo Pérez Martínez remains committed to guiding new generations to success. “We’re looking forward to a year full of achievements.
