A Global MMA Night in Santiago del Estero
On Friday, September 19th, Samurai Fight House #24 lit up Nodo Tecnológico in Santiago del Estero, Argentina. The event featured 11 action-packed MMA bouts, broadcast live on YouTube.
Fighters from Uruguay, Ecuador, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, and the United States stepped into the cage. Each came chasing victory—and a shot at MMA glory—under the lights of Argentina. This was more than a fight night; it was a showcase of international ambition.
CJ Brant and Micaias Ureña Crowned New Champions
In the main event, CJ Brant (6-2) captured the SFH Welterweight Title with a rear naked choke at just 3:00 of Round 1. He submitted Rafael Sarmiento (10-3) in lightning fashion.
Meanwhile, in the co-main event, Micaias “THE PINK RANGER” Ureña (11-3) submitted Vinicius Salvador (14-8) with an arm-triangle choke. His Round 2 finish secured the vacant SFH Bantamweight Belt.
Other Card Highlights
- Camila Reynoso (8-1) captured the SFH Flyweight Championship with a TKO (doctor stoppage) over Liliana Martinez (2-1) at the end of Round 2.
- Carlos Petruzzella (14-1) overwhelmed Diego Robledo (16-15) with a doctor-stoppage win in just 45 seconds.
- Michael Estrada (7-0) stayed undefeated, submitting Laureano Soria (4-3-2) via armbar at 2:33 in the 2nd round. .
- In a controversial ending, Estanislao “EL VILLANO” Licata (3-1) won the SFH Light Heavyweight Title after Sebastian Cristaldo (1-1) was disqualified for an illegal elbow within 28 seconds of the 1st round.
- Rocio Sandoval (2-1) and Valeria Ibañez (6-1) both shined with slick submission wins in the prelims.
- Erik “EL NINJA” Machado (1-0) made a successful debut with a TKO victory via corner stoppage over Ivan Franco (0-2).
