“Pantera” Ramirez Seeks a Big 2025 After WBA Title
Maribel “Pantera” Ramirez is looking for a big 2025 after the WBA/AMB title , preparing for a more active and successful year after winning the WBA Intercontinental championship. The former 115-pound world champion is determined to regain her world belt and dominate the boxing scene once again. Currently ranked #2 by the WBA, she is ready to take advantage of every opportunity.
Recent Triumph: WBA Intercontinental Title
On July 18, 2024, Ramirez faced Michelle Preston in New Zealand and achieved a resounding victory. This triumph gave her the WBA Intercontinental championship, a title she wears proudly. “We won the belt, and we have it here. I am very grateful to the president of the WBA, Gilberto Mendoza Jr.”, she commented during an interview at the Club Mendoza gym. This achievement marks a new momentum in her path to regain the world championship.
Challenges in 2024 and Objectives for 2025
Although he celebrated his victory, Ramirez acknowledges that 2024 was not his best year. He only fought once, and the lack of a promoter limited his opportunities. “Not having a promoter affected us a lot. That’s why we were inactive. I hope 2025 will bring us great opportunities, like fighting for a world title”he said.
Her manager, Alejandro Mendoza, confirmed that they are working to secure a title fight. “Clara Lescurat is the current champion. She defeated us in Argentina in controversial circumstances. We expect a rematch soon.” explained Mendoza.
Appreciation and Support
Ramirez and Mendoza thanked their supporters, including Montesinos, Guillermo Rendon, Ana Buendia, Janecarlo Lozano, Inquebrantable, Patricia Trejo and coach David. Their support has been key to keeping Ramirez focused on her goals.
With determination and support, Ramirez is ready to make 2025 a year of triumphs and titles.
