Night of Champions MMA in Temixco: A Platform for Talent
The Night of Champions MMA in Temixco celebrated its 25th edition, organized by the Institute of Sports and Physical Culture of the State of Morelos(Indem). This event is key to promote Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and prepare athletes for the National Popular Games 2025.
Armando Mercado Hernandez, MMA state delegate and winner of the Morelos State Sports Award 2023, organized this event. His commitment to the growth of the discipline was evident in every detail.
A Day of Action and Inclusion
The event began with an open tournament that included combat and forms. Young athletes, some as young as five years old, participated, demonstrating the inclusiveness of the sport. Later, the Night of Champions brought together elite athletes and special guests. Isaac Mora, coordinator of the National Popular Games, praised the work of Indem, under the direction of Juan Felipe Dominguez Robles, to promote the advancement of MMA.
In addition, Domínguez Robles highlighted Morelos’ outstanding performance in the National Popular Games, especially in MMA. He attributed this success to the policies implemented by Gov. Margarita González Saraviawhich seek to expand access to sports in all communities in the state.
A Regional Exhibition
Athletes from various municipalities of Morelos, such as Cuernavaca, Xochitepec and Emiliano Zapataparticipated in the event.
