OFL XVI: Fabrizio Pincheira
The main event of OFL XVI will undergo a change. Pablo Burgos withdrew from the fight on medical recommendation. Following his withdrawal, Chile’s Fabrizio Pincheira will face Israel Figueira for the vacant featherweight title.
The announcement was made by the organization this Thursday morning.
Pincheira has spent his entire career with OFL. Following his debut in 2013, he achieved a 4-1 record. Currently, ‘El Bandido’ is on a three-win streak.
In his last fight, he submitted the Brazilian Victor Vigilato at OFL XV. Now, ‘El Bandido’ will look to capture gold in the first title fight of his career.
Figueira will be making his debut in the Chilean organization. The Brazilian made a name for himself by spending a large part of his career in the Russian regional circuit. ‘The Ghost’ is coming off a victory over Eric Castro at Muiraquitã Forest Combat 1.
In his debut at the premier MMA event in Chile, he will look to beat the odds and earn prestige in events outside of Brazilian territory.
OFL XVI will take place next Saturday, March 21, at the Enjoy Casino & Resort in Santiago, Chile.
