Previously, this championship was held by El Hijo del Vikingo. Sadly, he suffered a severe torn ACL earlier in July. Wrestling expert and writer Dave Meltzer noted that Vikingo faces a brutal nine month recovery period. Because of this unfortunate injury, the championship became officially vacant.

Behind the mask, La Parka protects his identity to honor Mexican wrestling traditions. Born in nineteen ninety nine, he proudly carries the Alvarado family legacy forward. As the grandson of Brazo de Oro, he initially debuted as Brazo de Oro Junior back in September twenty thirteen. Later, he officially debuted as the third version of La Parka at Rey de Reyes in March 2025.
Rising Global Superstar Status
His momentum is clearly unstoppable right now. Before becoming the newest AAA Latin American Champion, he made waves internationally. He surprisingly entered the WWE Royal Rumble in January 2026. Austin Theory eliminated him, but fans noticed his raw talent immediately.
