The World Boxing Council is gearing up for something special. From November 8 to 13, 2026, the global boxing family will take over the Palacio Mundo Imperial in Acapulco to celebrate the 64th WBC Annual Convention. It’s shaping up to be a massive week for the sport.

The official schedule is absolutely packed. Things kick off with the Mandatory Fights Session, an intense room where promoters and managers sit down with the Board of Governors to hammer out upcoming title bouts. Meanwhile, the Ratings Committee will be hard at work reviewing global rankings to spotlight the next generation of rising stars.
Pushing for Better Health and Safety
Protecting the fighters is always a top priority. Ring officials will sit through targeted seminars to get everyone on the exact same page when it comes to refereeing standards. You’ll also see medical experts stepping up to discuss how modern nutrition and fresh technology can keep boxers safer in the ring.
Gala Nights and Giving Back
It isn’t just about the business of boxing. The Gala and Awards Night is easily the most glamorous evening on the calendar, letting us honor the absolute best in the industry. But there’s also a lot of heart involved. Through WBC Cares, champions and legends will head out to local hospitals and gyms, spending time with the Acapulco community that always welcomes us so warmly.
