The Main Event: Chito Vera Takes on MMA Legend Jose Aldo
Marlon “Chito” Vera finally gets to headline in his own backyard. The Ecuadorian UFC bantamweight is a finishing machine in the cage, currently holding the divisional record for stoppages. But tonight, he’s up against a literal icon of the sport: former UFC Featherweight King José Aldo. Fans probably remember Aldo taking a unanimous decision over Vera in their 2020 MMA clash. Tonight is Vera’s chance to even the score under strict submission grappling rules.
The Co-Main Clash: Mayton Perea Meets Colby Covington
The local crowd is guaranteed to blow the roof off for Quito standout Mayton “The Lion” Perea. He’s been tearing through his recent MMA fights with a string of vicious TKOs, bringing an aggressive, fast-paced style to the mat. His opponent is American freestyle wrestler Colby “Chaos” Covington. The former interim UFC Welterweight Champ and current RAF Cruiserweight Crossover titleholder is a massive test. It’s a classic clash of Perea’s violent momentum against Covington’s grinding, elite wrestling base.
