The 30-year-old GLORY fighter will take on Australia’s Chadd Collins in the quarterfinal stage of the RISE and GLORY co-promoted one-night, eight-man, $100,000 grand prize tournament in Chiba
GLORY kickboxing star Abraham “Ham” Vidales (19-4, 15 KO’s) will return to the ring at the featherweight (143 pounds/65 kilograms) matchup with Chadd Collins (63-19, 32 KO’s) at the RISE World Series 2024 Final event in Chiba, Japan on Saturday, Dec. 21.
The matchup will take place as a quarterfinal stage bout in the RISE and GLORY co-promoted kickboxing tournament, the winner of which will take home a grand prize check of $100,000 USD.
The 30-year-old Vidales hails from Monterrey, and is a two-time champion in the sport of kickboxing as well as a nine-time veteran of GLORY promoted fights.
Vidales, who trains out of Living Legacy Muay Thai gym in Monterrey, is looking to rebound from two straight defeats at the hands of Kento Haraguchi and Miguel Trindade, respectively.
Collins, 29, of Queensland, Australia, was voted the “2023 Breakthrough Fighter of the Year” by Beyond Kickboxing.
He is seeking his third straight victory.
The winner of the fight between Vidales and Collins will advance to the semifinal stage of the tournament that night and square off the winner of the tournament bracket’s quarterfinal stage fight between Kento Haraguchi (28-4, 17 KO’s) of Japan and Miguel Trindade (15-2, 10 KO’s) of Portugal.
