Ecuadorian Adrián Luna now has a date and opponent for his official UFC debut. The Guayaquil native will face Davey Grant at UFC Vegas 116.
The fight was announced by the organization this Tuesday afternoon.
Luna is coming off winning his contract after defeating Mark Vologdin in an intense battle. The bout is considered one of the greatest fights in Contender Series history.
The fighter, who established his base at the UFC Performance Institute in Mexico City, stands out for his extensive experience in various Latin American events, boasting a 17-1 record.
Grant is known for his long tenure in the organization. During his time in the UFC, he has already defeated an Ecuadorian: Marlon ‘Chito’ Vera, whom he beat by decision back in 2014.
“Dangerous” is coming off a loss against Charles Jourdain on the UFC Vancouver card. The defeat ended a two-fight winning streak.
Now, he will look to prove that he still has plenty to offer as an octagon veteran.
UFC Vegas 116 will take place next Saturday, April 25, at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.
