Blue Panther MLW National Champion
On National Lucha Libre Day, Blue Panther made history by defeating Ultimo Guerrero to capture the MLW National Championship in a hard-fought bout that honored lucha tradition. The CMLL legends met in a match rooted in mutual respect—but it was Panther’s aerial agility and shocking Spanish Fly finish that sealed the deal. In a show of sportsmanship, Guerrero hoisted his opponent in victory after the match. Blue Panther is the new MLW National Champion!
This emotional title win ends Guerrero’s dominant 145-day reign, where he defended the belt against top-tier competition like Alex Hammerstone, Hechicero, Zandokan Jr., and Barbaro Cavernario. He originally won the championship at the CMLL vs MLW crossover show, besting Matthew Justice.
Blue Panther’s First Gold in MLW
This victory marks Blue Panther’s first-ever title in Major League Wrestling. Despite a rocky start—losing in his MLW debut at Kings of Colosseum and getting eliminated early in the Battle Riot—Panther has risen from underdog to champion. Known more recently for tag team appearances, this singles triumph redefines his MLW future.
While Blue Panther wasn’t a regular fixture on MLW TV, that’s about to change. It’s unclear if Ultimo Guerrero will get a rematch, but all eyes are now on Panther’s first defense.
