Charles Oliveira
Charles Oliveira (36-11-0) believes his rematch against Max Holloway (27-8-0) will be different at UFC 326. The Brazilian will face the Hawaiian once again in the main event on March 7th. This time, the BMF belt will be on the line.
After losing the first fight due to injury, ‘Do Bronx’ asserts that he is in a completely different stage of his career and shows confidence in his next challenge.
In a video posted on his YouTube channel, Oliveira highlighted his evolution since the first fight, indicating that he now sees himself as a more complete fighter.
“Between that last fight and this one, I have improved a lot. In that fight, I went in injured. I know that he has also evolved, he has grown, he is the BMF champion, but the Charles of today is totally different.
“Back then, I was just the Jiu-Jitsu Charles. Today, I am the MMA Charles. I am a complete guy. Back then, I was just a kid. Today, I am a lion among lions, so every fight is completely different from any other,” Oliveira explained.
Despite his confidence for the rematch at UFC 326, Oliveira knows it will not be an easy task. Holloway is known for his intense striking with 12 knockout victories, as well as his resistance to being finished.
In his eight losses throughout his MMA career, ‘Blessed’ has only lost once by knockout and once by submission.
