Chito Vera Joins Red Activa
Marlon “Chito” Vera, the pride of Ecuador in the UFC, has announced his partnership with Red Activa, the country’s leading transactional services network. Through his Instagram account, he shared the exciting news with his followers. In a video, he began by holding a sign that read, “Noticiaaas Mijin!”. Excitedly, he said, “My people, I am the newest member of the Western Union Active Network family!”
Chito Vera’s Road to the Summit
Born on December 2, 1992 in Chone, Ecuador, Marlon Vera has had an inspiring path in the UFC. He started as a street fighter and then practiced Brazilian jiu-jitsu. In 2012, he made his professional debut in MMA. He is known for his knockout power and submission skills. In fact, he holds the record for most wins by finish and most submission attempts in UFC bantamweight history.
His most notable victories include a knockout of Frankie Edgar and a win over Dominick Cruz. Although he suffered a title fight loss to Sean O’Malley, his resilience keeps him a top contender. In addition, outside of the octagon, he has earned admiration for his commitment to art, fashion, his family and, especially, his efforts to raise funds to treat his daughter’s rare medical condition.
