Cinta De Oro Brings Wrestling to the Children of El Paso
EL PASO, TEXAS – Cinta De Oro brings the magic of wrestling to the children of El Paso, giving back to the community that shaped his career. Before dazzling fans around the world with his spectacular moves, the wrestler found inspiration in El Paso’s Segundo Barrio. As a child, he spent countless hours at the city’s Boys & Girls Club, playing basketball and creating unforgettable memories.
Now, the former WWE star (formerly known as Sin Cara) is returning to the ring for a cause close to his heart: raising funds for the club that played a pivotal role in his life.
Wrestling Events to Enhance the Club
Beginning March 22, the Cinta De Oro wrestling promoter will host monthly events at the club’s indoor basketball court. Tickets will range in price from $10 to $30. A portion of the proceeds will go toward building repairs and educational programs.
“The Boys & Girls Club played a key role in shaping who I am today,” commented Cinta De Oro. “This is my chance to give back and inspire the next generation.”
Monika Acevedo, its talent representative, stressed the urgency of raising funds. “This historic building needs a lot of TLC: heating, cooling, wall repairs, you name it. We’re talking about $50,000.”
A Call for Community Support
Acevedo called on local businesses and alumni to participate. “Every penny counts. Donations are tax deductible and directly help the club.”
Anthony Tomasheski, CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of El Paso, praised the generosity of Cinta De Oro. “She has a huge heart and is doing so much for us. This partnership helps us keep the lights on.”
A Future Full of Fun
Fresh off a farewell tour with wrestling legend Hijo del Santo, Cinta De Oro promises familiar bouts with global wrestling stars.
“We want to fill the place and create unforgettable memories,” he stated. “It’s about bringing joy to the community and supporting the children.”
