Cintia Faría goes to the Strikers MMA World Championship 2025
Cintia “La Leona” Faría, a fighter from Chajarí, was officially called to represent the Argentine National Team in the GAMMA 2025 World Championship of Strikers MMA, to be held from June 16 to 22 in São Paulo, Brazil. After almost two decades of training and fighting, her dream has come true. Cintia Faría is going to the Strikers MMA World Championship 2025.
Effort, heart and accurate hits
Cintia started practicing martial arts at the age of 15, often being the only woman in the gym. Today, at 32, she is part of a national team made up of only five women. “It was very difficult. I have many fights and I thought it was never going to happen to me,” she recounted excitedly.
Ready to fight with intelligence
The team travels on June 14 and will face a demanding schedule of up to four fights per day. Faría emphasized the group’s strategic approach: “We are preparing to fight neatly, without hurting ourselves, so we can keep going. The goal is to win the first round no matter what.”
The mind also competes
Beyond the physical, the training includes psychological work with a specialist from Concordia. “You can be at 100% physically, but if your head fails, you lose,” he said. The practices even recreate tournament stimuli such as noises, lights and smells to adapt to the real competition environment.
From Chajarí to the world
What began as a local dream has now become a national pride. “I wanted my name to be known in Chajarí, to make my mother proud. And I achieved more: I represented my country and now I’m going to the World Cup,” she said. The key moment was receiving the team’s clothing: “That’s when it hit me: this is real”.
