Concordia Welcomes Over 400 Fighters for Taekwondo Showdown
This Sunday, October 12, the city of La Concordia transforms into a martial arts arena. The International Taekwondo Tournament, hosted at Club Estudiantes, will feature more than 400 competitors from across Argentina and neighboring countries. Organized by the Chul Hak San Taekwondo group, this high-energy event will run from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, filling the Gigante Verde with nonstop action.
Competitors Arrive from Across Argentina and Uruguay
Athletes representing provinces like Misiones, Santa Fe, Chaco, and Santiago del Estero are making their way to Concordia. Furthermore, the event draws international attention with fighters traveling from Uruguay, including cities such as Punta del Este, Montevideo, and Salto. This wide participation highlights the tournament’s expanding influence.
Categories for Every Belt and Age Group
The tournament offers divisions for everyone—from 4-year-old beginners to 65-year-old veterans. Participants will compete in three modalities: combat, forms (poomsae), and semi-contact sparring. With matches organized by belt rank, spectators can expect fair, competitive, and exciting bouts across all levels—from white belts to 5th DAN black belts.
Led by International Masters and Local Heroes
Sahyun Nim Analia Migueles, a 7th DAN international black belt and General Secretary of Chul Hak San, will preside over the event. Key organizer Kevin Jacobo (5th DAN), along with instructors from Concordia and Salto, has coordinated efforts to ensure everything runs smoothly. Their leadership brings professionalism and heart to the competition.
Taekwondo Values Shine Beyond the Mat
While medals and trophies matter, this event goes deeper. Respect, discipline, and community stand at the core of Taekwondo. “It’s about sharing, learning, and building community through martial arts,” said Jacobo. Attendees will witness not just physical skill—but the indomitable spirit of Taekwondo in every match.
