On November 2, 2024, the vibrant tradition of Lucha Libre will be brought to life in Houston, Texas, when CMLL (Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre) will partner with Fenix Lucha Libre and Karbach Brewing Co.. to present an action-packed wrestling festival. This event is not only a night of wrestling but a celebration of the Day of the Dead, honoring the rich Mexican heritage and culture.

As of 7 p. m. and up to 11 p. m. The Lucha Libre Festival promises an unforgettable experience, showcasing some of the best talent from both CMLL and Fenix Lucha Libre. The evening will feature an exciting line-up of bouts, offering a taste of the excitement that makes Lucha Libre loved around the world.
The festival begins at 12:00 p.m.allowing attendees to immerse themselves in a cultural spectacle. From a community altar to vibrant arts and crafts, this event offers a unique opportunity to celebrate the meaning of Día de los Muertos, a time when families remember and honor their loved ones who have passed away. Attendees can savor authentic Mexican antojitos, enjoy live music and enjoy captivating performances. A flea market will showcase local vendors offering handmade goods and crafts, and there will be face painting for children and adults alike.
Main event matches
In a highly anticipated main event at the upcoming Lucha Libre Festival, fans will be treated to an electrifying clash between Hechicero y Sphinx. Hechicero, also known as Sorcerer Kingis a Mexican masked wrestler who is a former CMLL World Heavyweight Champion. He plays a Rudo (“bad boy”) character and has made appearances on the Mexican independent circuit, as well as in Japan for New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) and in the United States for CMLL’ s sister promotions CMLL Ring of Honor (ROH). y All Elite Wrestling (AEW). His real name is not publicly known, as is often the case with masked wrestlers in Mexico, where his private life is kept secret. Hechicero made his debut on Feb. 15, 2001, and has trained with notable wrestlers, winning multiple championships throughout his career, including the WWA World Middleweight Championship World Middleweight Championship and the WWA World Light Heavyweight Championship and the NWA Historic Light Heavyweight World Championship..
Esfinge, born June 14, 1993 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, is a celebrated Luchador Enmascarado who currently competes for CMLL as the current Mexican National Light Heavyweight Champion. His journey in professional wrestling began at the end of 2009 under the name of Halcón Furia Jr.a tribute to his Lucha Libre lineage. At 2011by 2011, Sphinx had evolved into his current character, inspired by Egyptian mythology. Known for his impressive agility and technical prowess, he has achieved numerous accomplishments throughout his career, including the Campeonato en Championship CMLL Arena Coliseo y the Campeonato De Peso Semipesado De Occidente (Western Light Heavyweight Championship)De Occidente, showcasing his talent and dedication to the sport.
Fans can also look forward to an exciting men’s tag team bout between Rey Mictlan and L. Sorpresa against the dynamic duo Low Rider and Juventud Aera. In addition, the event will highlight a Texano A Tres Bandas Combate featuring competitors Diego De La Cruz, Auzzy and Rocco Montana.
