Christopher “El Tanke” Ewert
After a brief absence, Christopher “El Tanke” Ewert has an opponent and a date for his return to MMA. The middleweight will face Andrew Stewart at LFA 228.
The announcement was made by the organization this Tuesday afternoon. The fight will be part of the event’s main card.
Ewert returns to the sport after losing his undefeated record to Yuri Panferov on the Contender Series. The Chilean stands out as a former champion of OFL Latam, considered one of the best organizations in Chile.
Subsequently, he won his two bouts in Fury FC, one of the most prominent organizations in regional MMA, where he knocked out AJ Chambers and defeated Reese Watkins following a dominant performance.
After ending Watkins’ undefeated streak at Fury FC 100, he secured the opportunity to fight for a UFC contract.
Stewart made his name in the regional MMA scene of the United States. ‘Stevie’ will be looking to secure his first winning streak in the organization. In his LFA debut, he defeated Johnathan Waid at LFA 219.
Now, he will look to overcome the dangerous Chilean striker, where we will undoubtedly see an explosive contest in one of the fastest-growing organizations in the United States.
LFA 228 will take place on March 13 at the Wild Horse Pass Showroom in Chandler, Arizona.
