El boxeo no es s\u00f3lo un deporte popular en la naci\u00f3n, sino que se ha convertido en un medio de escapar de la pobreza para muchos atletas que proceden de entornos de bajos ingresos. Los boxeadores dominicanos han utilizado repetidamente sus habilidades no s\u00f3lo para alcanzar el \u00e9xito deportivo, sino tambi\u00e9n para transformar su situaci\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El poder del boxeo para elevar vidas se puso de manifiesto en los Juegos Ol\u00edmpicos de Par\u00eds 2024, donde <a href=\"https:\/\/olympics.com\/en\/news\/paris-2024-boxing-yunior-alcantara-david-de-pina-win-bronze\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Yunior Alc\u00e1ntara <\/a>y<a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cristian_Javier_Pinales\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> Cristian Pinales<\/a> obtuvieron medallas de bronce y una cuantiosa recompensa del gobierno dominicano. Cada boxeador recibi\u00f3 ocho millones de pesos (aproximadamente 134.000 d\u00f3lares) por sus podios, una cantidad que cambia la vida de los atletas que a menudo se entrenan en condiciones humildes. <br\/><\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/media.tycsports.com\/files\/2024\/09\/18\/767473\/una-medalla-olimpica-y-su-poder-para-sacar-de-la-pobreza-a-los-boxeadores-dominicanos_862x485.webp\" alt=\"\" style=\"width:679px;height:auto\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>Yunior Alc\u00e1ntara- Boxeador de la Rep\u00fablica Dominicana, campe\u00f3n de los Juegos Panamericanos y medalla de plata de los Juegos Centroamericanos.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>El viaje a la gloria ol\u00edmpica<\/strong><br\/><br\/><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Junior_Alc%C3%A1ntara\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Yunior Alc\u00e1ntara<\/a>, que compite en la categor\u00eda de 51 kg, empez\u00f3 a boxear a los 11 a\u00f1os, inspirado por su hermano mayor, que entrenaba en un peque\u00f1o gimnasio de su ciudad natal. Para Alc\u00e1ntara, el boxeo es algo m\u00e1s que dinero. Destac\u00f3 que su amor por este deporte le impulsa m\u00e1s que las recompensas econ\u00f3micas.  <br\/><br\/>\u00ab<em>Hay algo m\u00e1s importante que el dinero, y es el amor por este deporte\u00bb, <\/em>dijo Alc\u00e1ntara en una entrevista con EFE. \u00abSi me centro en el dinero, empiezo a perder confianza. La clave es centrarse en cada combate, de uno en uno, sobre todo en las rondas preliminares, porque si no avanzas, no hay posibilidad de medalla.\u00bb <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A pesar de haber perdido por poco la medalla de <a href=\"https:\/\/olympics.com\/en\/paris-2024\/athlete\/yunior-alcantara-reyes_1908817\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">plata <\/a>en las semifinales de Par\u00eds 2024 contra el luchador franc\u00e9s Billal Bennama, Alc\u00e1ntara sinti\u00f3 que gan\u00f3 el combate en esp\u00edritu. Si hubiera conseguido la plata, el gobierno dominicano se hab\u00eda reservado 10 millones de pesos (168.000 d\u00f3lares) como recompensa. <br\/><br\/><strong>Cristian Pinales: La estrella emergente<\/strong><br\/><br\/>En la categor\u00eda de 80 kg, <a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cristian_Javier_Pinales\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Cristian Pinales<\/a> tambi\u00e9n consigui\u00f3 una medalla de bronce en los Juegos Ol\u00edmpicos de Par\u00eds 2024. A sus 23 a\u00f1os, se considera que Pinales tiene el <em>\u00abf\u00edsico ideal<\/em> \u00bb para este deporte, pero no empez\u00f3 como boxeador.
