The XXIII KIM 2025 Open Tournament turned out to be an unforgettable event, full of excitement and energy. More than 1,000 competitors from all over Mexico gathered at a private school located north of Mexico City. Disciplines such as Karate, Taekwondo, Limalama, Kenpo and Kung Do Lama were part of the action, under the direction of Shihan Luis Rivas García, director of the Mexican Interdisciplinary Karate School(KIM). Emotions and Talent in the XXIII KIM 2025 Open Tournament created an electrifying atmosphere for all attendees.

Nineteen tatami areas were the stage for intense bouts and challenges in various categories. From Point and Continuous Combat to Traditional and Contemporary Forms, every moment demonstrated the incredible skill of the athletes. In addition, the younger competitors captured the attention of the audience in special categories such as rally kids and breaking. The audience was kept on the edge of their seats, captivated by the athletes’ performances.
Families Supporting Talent
The event was not just for the athletes; families also played a crucial role in making the day memorable. Marina Rivas, who was supporting her daughter, shared her excitement, “It’s an exciting experience; it builds character, win or lose.” The Gonzalez Perez and Serrano families also expressed their joy for their children’s achievements and praised the flawless organization of the event, which contributed to the success.

Sensei Miguel Angel Lira, from the Toshinkaikan organization, praised the flawless execution of the event and the high level of competition.
