Mexico’s MMA Pride on Display
The Mexican Federation of Mixed Martial Arts (FAMM) has officially announced that Team Mexico will participate in the upcoming IMMAF Amateur MMA World Championships, set to take place in Tbilisi, Georgia, from September 27 to October 2, 2025. This powerful move not only highlights Mexico’s deep pool of fighting talent but also signals the country’s rising influence on the international MMA stage. With a top FAMM directivo set to attend, the announcement reinforces Mexico’s commitment to growing its presence in amateur MMA and positioning its athletes for global success.
A top FAMM directivo will attend the event in person. Their presence sends a clear message: Mexico is serious about growing amateur MMA and creating international opportunities. The move reflects the federation’s mission to elevate the sport across Latin America.
Global Competition, Local Dreams
Each year, the Amateur MMA World Championships unite the best non-professional fighters worldwide. For Mexican athletes, it’s not just about winning. It’s about learning, networking, and building the future.
By backing this delegation, FAMM ensures that young fighters gain experience and international exposure. As a result, they’ll be better positioned to succeed in their professional careers.
A Strategic Leap Forward
This participation supports FAMM’s long-term vision. The federation is committed to education, career development, and global engagement. With a directivo present, FAMM is taking an active role in shaping the future of Mexican MMA.
New pathways are opening. As more athletes emerge from amateur circuits, Mexico’s influence in global combat sports will only grow. The combination of local training and international experience is laying the foundation for long-term success.
Among those already confirmed for this year are returning champions Alanna Pritchard (England), Mariia Klein and Anna Hyria (both of Ukraine), and Yerulan Kabdulov (Kazakhstan).
