Francis Ngannou
After his departure from PFL was announced last week, it didn’t take long for Francis Ngannou to finalize his first fight after becoming a free agent. The former UFC champion will face Philipe Lins on the Rousey vs. Carano card.
The announcement was made by the organization on Monday morning. The fight will take place over five five-minute rounds.
Ngannou will have his first fight after his brief stint in PFL, where he knocked out Renan Ferreira at PFL Super Fights: Battle of The Giants.
The former world heavyweight champion is on a seven-fight winning streak and stands out for the brutal power of his fists, with 13 victories by KO/TKO.
Lins returns to action following his departure from the UFC due to a series of personal issues. ‘Monstro’ became well-known for his time in the PFL, where he was crowned the 2018 season heavyweight champion.
The American Top Team fighter stands out for his balance both on his feet and on the canvas, with 9 victories by KO/TKO and 4 via submission.
Rousey vs. Carano will take place this coming May 16 at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.
