My goal is to deliver a great performance for Sonora, Hermosillo, and all of Mexico.”
His journey began earlier this year when his coaches, Manuel and Jesús Valenzuela, introduced him to Muay Thai. Under their guidance, he has honed his skills, preparing for the sport’s demanding physical and mental aspects.

Muay Thai is steadily gaining popularity in Mexico, with Sonora leading the charge. This year, the Sonora team secured 14 medals at a national tournament in Mexico City, showcasing the region’s talent. Vindiola, who transitioned from MMA to Muay Thai in mid-2024, admires the sport’s versatility and its mix of technique and strategy.
“Muay Thai stands out because you can blend punches, kicks, elbows, and knees,” he shared. “It challenges not only your physical abilities but also your mental resilience.”
