Judo CDMX 2026
The Association of Judokas of Mexico City (Judo CDMX) has officially announced an ambitious schedule for next year. Under the leadership of President Jesus Rosas, the Judo CDMX 2026 calendar promises intense competition and technical growth. This agenda is designed to strengthen the martial art while honoring the country’s sporting legends.
Kicking Off with National Qualifiers
The action begins early on January 31 with a Graphics Clinic. This event is vital for associates planning future tournaments. However, the competitive intensity truly spikes in February. On February 14, the City Games will take place at the “Victoria de las Democracias” sports center in Azcapotzalco.
The intensity ramps up in Apizaco, Tlaxcala, from February 19–22 with the Tomoyoshi Yamaguchi National Tournament, a crucial qualifier for the National Olympiad. March then introduces a blend of heritage and high-performance technique. On March 7, the “Sensei Adolfo Sosa Vázquez” Tournament will pay tribute to a true pillar of Mexican judo. Following this tribute, elite training takes center stage starting March 17, as Dojo Bushido Mexico hosts a world-class seminar led by two-time world champion Sensei Yasuyuki Muneta.
Honoring Legends and Seeking Gold
As spring arrives, the focus shifts to tributes and the National Olympiad. On April 18, the association will hold the “Sensei Mario Peralta Alfaro” Tournament to honor Mexico’s only 9th Dan. Subsequently, the “Maruchan” 2026 Tournament on May 9 serves as the final warmup.
Finally, the delegation travels to Mérida, Yucatán, on May 23. There, they will compete for gold in the National Olympiad. June remains busy with Black Belt exams and the Copa All Bushido. Additionally, July features an international training camp led by the King Brothers school.
Closing the Year Strong
The second half of the year maintains a high profile. Events include the “Prof. Manuel Larrañaga” Tournament in August and the 60th Anniversary of the Judokata school in September. Later, the team travels to Tijuana for the “Daniel F. Hernández” National Tournament in October.
To conclude this massive cycle, the prestigious Copa Judotecnia 2026 takes place on November 14. This event is the most representative interclub tournament in Mexico. Ultimately, this calendar ensures that Judo CDMX 2026 will be a historic year for capital judokas.
