León, Guanajuato – celebrates the remarkable career of Jesus Pazosa renowned kempoista from Leon, Guanajuato, who was recently inducted into Mexico’s Martial Arts Hall of Fame. This prestigious honor, bestowed during the VI National Martial Arts Convention in Mérida, Yucatán, recognizes Pazos’ dedication to the martial arts as an Athlete, Instructor y Mentor.
With more than 30 years of hard work and dedication to his and others’ experience in martial arts, Jesús Pazos has become a leading figure in Kempo, a discipline that encompasses weapons, free-hand techniques and form work. Known for his prowess on national and international stages, Pazos is a multiworld, Pan-American and national champion. His reputation extends beyond his own accomplishments; he is the founder of the Mexican Kempo Institute, where he has trained some of the sport’s brightest stars, including his own children, Hans and Faridy Pazos, who have also won multiple international medals.

The convention, a celebrated gathering that promotes unity among martial arts styles, welcomed more than twenty honorees representing diverse disciplines from karate to modern arnis. While some of these styles have yet to gain federation recognition, the event served as an essential platform for their practitioners, highlighting their dedication and influence within the martial arts community. Pazos’ takeover was one of many proud moments at the convention, as he embodies the spirit of respect, skill and legacy that the event aims to foster.
Among the distinguished honorees, Sensei Sergio Ocampo (Taekwondo) y Francisco Perez from Shinbudokan Guanajuato joined Pazos in the recognition. The convention also celebrated Joe Cardenas, 10th Dan Y Red Belt at Kali Eskrima Anisas well as Grand Master Hernan Carrascopioneer of American Kempo in Mexico. Other Martial Arts Legends included Daniel Sinhue Martinezfounder of Modern Arnis Martial Arts; Arturo Herre, Master of Hapkido; y Manuel Dzibtrainer of Tae Bo.
Other highlights included Kru Victor Montiel of the School of Muay Thai “Great FK Warrior” y Juan Martin Martineza Master of Limalama. Also receiving praise were esteemed coaches of Taekwondocoaches, such as Lorenzo Guzman, Jorge Peña, Álvaro Rebolledo, Nely Ortiz, Isidoro Canche y Francisco Cruz.
The honor bestowed upon Jesus Pazos, however, stood out as a moment of deep appreciation for a life dedicated to the martial arts. From competing on global stages to fostering a new generation of Kempo talent, Pazos ‘ career serves as an inspiration to many.
