Michael Chandler will be keeping an eye on the fight between Charles Oliveira and Max Holloway at UFC 326, scheduled for March 7.
After seeing that his attempts to face Conor McGregor did not materialize, the former lightweight title challenger expressed confidence in a Holloway victory, citing the fact that Oliveira returned very quickly after being knocked out by Ilia Topuria.
Closely watching what unfolds in the fight set to take place in the coming weeks, the former Bellator champion confirmed his interest in fighting for the BMF title if Holloway retains the belt.
“I’ve got my eye on that fight, because I believe Max will come out with the win. Oliveira is coming off a brutal knockout and came back too quickly by starting another training camp. I’ve got my eyes on the BMF belt, and if Max wins, then we’ll see,” Chandler said.
For his part, Dana White ruled out any possibility of making the fight between Michael Chandler and Conor McGregor happen, being brief and direct.
The UFC president stated that the matchup between the veterans has already lost the fans’ interest.
“No. That was a few years ago,” he responded in an interview with Complex News. Now, all that remains is to wait and see what will happen in the main event of UFC 326.
