After a long time away from the sport he grew up In, Nate Diaz is returning to MMA. The Californian will face Mike Perry on the Rousey vs. Carano card.
The announcement was made by the organization this Monday morning. The event will stream live on Netflix
Diaz spent much of his career in the UFC. After arriving in 2007, Nate won the fifth season of The Ultimate Fighter, standing out for his confrontational style and solid grappling.In the biggest victory of his time in the Octagon, he submitted Conor McGregor at UFC 196. In the final fight of his contract, he submitted Tony Ferguson at UFC 279, ending a two-fight losing streak.
In his last combat sports bout, he defeated Jorge Masvidal in their boxing rematch by majority decision on the debut card of Real Fight Inc in 2014.Now, he returns for a bout that will undoubtedly be explosive from start to finish.
Perry became known during his time in MMA. However, he reached the peak of his career during his stint in Bare Knuckle FC.
His intense fights did not go unnoticed, featuring victories over names like Luke Rockhold, Eddie Alvarez, and Jeremy Stephens.
Prior to his victory against Lil Heaven, he faced Jake Paul under boxing rules, losing by TKO in the sixth round. Now, he returns to MMA to face the Stockton native.
Rousey vs. Carano will take place this coming May 16th at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.
