New Black Belts Rise in Valle de Chalco
On December 14, 2025, the martial arts landscape in the State of Mexico changed forever. Lions Club: Boxeo y Artes Marciales proved exactly why it is a leader in the Eastern Zone. Under the expert direction of Professor Jose Alfredo Romero and founded by Óscar Romero de la Luz, the school celebrated a massive achievement. Specifically, eight disciplined students successfully graduated as the new generation of Black Belts. This event marks a major consolidation for Lions Club Valle de Chalco.
Excellence Endorsed by Masters
The validity of these new ranks carries immense weight. The graduation was backed by two of Mexico’s most prestigious Lima-Lama organizations. Both D.P.A.L.L.AN., led by Master Abraham Payan Dávalos (7th Degree), and Organization Samoa, led by Master Fernando Monroy (7th Degree), gave their official endorsements. Consequently, this double certification guarantees that Lions Club meets the most rigorous national standards.
Meet the New Black Belts
After overcoming grueling physical, technical, and combat tests, the following students earned their prestigious Black Belts:
- Juan D. Castillo S.
- Yaretzy Castillo S.
- Marian A. Hernández Sánchez
- Marisa Q. Hernández Sánchez
- V. Uriel González
- Karla Ramírez
- Diana F. Bautista H.
- E. Ximena Bautista H.
Furthermore, Professor Jose Alfredo “Alfred” Romero validated his Third Degree, solidifying his academic leadership before the evaluation board.
A World-Class Panel
The evaluation was strictly monitored by renowned experts. The panel included heavyweights like Ernesto Valentín Vergara Ballesteros, a Muay Boran reference, and Marcos Hurtado (7th Degree). Additionally, Francisco Prayon traveled from Cancún, joined by Paola Merlos and Delia Rodríguez, a Lima-Lama Sport Karate star. Their presence confirms the high caliber of Lions Club Valle de Chalco.
The Future is MMA
With this new generation certified, the school is looking ahead. Lions Club is not just strengthening its Lima-Lama roots. Currently, they are expanding into professional boxing and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). Ultimately, their goal is to project these new talents onto the global stage, proving that Valle de Chalco is a powerhouse for high-performance athletes.
