ZACATECAS, October 22, 2024 – The excitement in the air was palpable as José Alberto “El Teco” Quiñónez graced the opening of the Black Mamba Academy on Monday. This new Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) hub aims to refine the next generation of Zacatecan fighters, providing them with a premier training environment.
Located on the second floor of the Torre Médica Proedo, the academy boasts an enviable view and a state-of-the-art facility. The inauguration featured a dynamic Masterclass led by El Teco himself, alongside fellow fighter Jazmín “Pantera” Navarrete. Together, they demonstrated essential training routines that have propelled Quiñónez to the elite ranks of MMA.
Participants were treated to an engaging session that included Boxing Techniques, Jiu-Jitsu Drills, and an exciting conclusion with Muay Thai lessons. The vibrant pink tatami, designed to withstand countless training sessions, was a fitting backdrop for the eager students, who were ready to absorb every bit of knowledge shared.
As a proud Zacatecan, Quiñónez took a moment to inspire the aspiring athletes, reminding them that “dreams are made to be fulfilled, just as I did.” His words resonated with the newcomers, encouraging them to embrace their journey in the sport.
At the end of the Masterclass, students eagerly posed for photos with the two fighters, solidifying the day as a memorable milestone in their training. The Black Mamba Academy is set to become a nurturing ground for talent, with plans to welcome even more aspiring fighters in the future.
