A resounding victory for Salamanca
The Gold Fighter tournament, sanctioned by the International Society of Martial Artists (ISMA), provided Salamanca’s martial artists with a great platform to excel. It also allowed them to earn crucial points to qualify for the Pan American International Championships, to be held this year in Miami, Florida. Nine competitors, ranging in age from 11 to 17 years old, participated. Each athlete contributed to the team’s outstanding performance.
Appreciation and Recognition
After the competition, the team presented their awards to local authorities during a black belt examination at the Fray Camilo Montes Vega sports facilities. Guillermo Perez Martinez, leader of Shinbudokan Salamanca, thanked the municipality, especially for the support in transportation. “The kids brought fantastic results. We are very grateful for the support,” he said.
A Path to International Recognition
This championship was just the first step towards the team’s international recognition. With experience in global competitions, such as Juan Emmanuel Granados Hernandez’s participations in world championships, the team is preparing for tournaments in Irapuato, Aguascalientes, Leon and Celaya.
Looking to the Future with Confidence
With more than 35 years of experience in martial arts, coach Guillermo Perez Martinez remains committed to guiding new generations to success. “We expect a year full of achievements. We trust we will continue to receive support from parents and local authorities,” he concluded, confident in the team’s bright future.
