Two Dead, Champion Hospitalized
While Joshua survived the crash, the outcome was devastating for others involved. Police confirmed that two passengers in the vehicle died instantly at the scene. Joshua, who was seated in the rear, was rushed to an undisclosed hospital along with the driver. Authorities stated that five men were in the car; two died, while Joshua and the driver suffered injuries. Two others reportedly escaped unhurt.
Speeding and Wrongful Overtaking Blamed
FRSC officials arrived within three minutes of the crash. They indicated that excessive speed and a wrongful overtaking attempt caused the Lexus to slam into a truck parked on the grass verge. Photos from the scene show the black car with severe front-end damage. The Ogun state police command has since launched a full investigation and extended condolences to the bereaved families.
