FRSC officials arrived within three minutes of the crash. They indicated that excessive speed and a wrongful overtaking attempt caused the Lexus to slam into a truck parked on the grass verge. Photos from the scene show the black car with severe front-end damage. The Ogun state police command has since launched a full investigation and extended condolences to the bereaved families.
