Tuxpan, Veracruz – Tuxpan shines at the Torneo Estatal de MMA 2025, held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, thrilling fans and athletes alike! The 2025 Mixed Martial Arts State Tournament brought together over 200 participants from more than 30 academies, who demonstrated their strength, skill and competitive spirit this weekend.

Professor Agustín Guzmán Arellano, president of the AAMMG, proudly announced the excellent participation in the tournament. The fighters competed intensely in four categories: novice, beginner, intermediate and advanced. Each bout reflected the dedication, passion and promising future of mixed martial arts in Veracruz.
New champions and the road to the National MMA Tournament
The 2025 State Mixed Martial Arts Tournament not only rewarded effort in medals: it opened the doors to national glory! Approximately 60 talented athletes secured their qualification for the National MMA Tournament inChihuahua, scheduled for August 2025.
Among the standouts were Damían Reyes García, Maetzi Moreno Mejía and Bárbara Gayosso Sanabia. William Velázquez Sánchez and Diana Zamorano Balderas also shined, consolidating Veracruz as a hotbed of MMA talent.
These warriors now represent the pride of their state, ready to face the best fighters in the country.
