UCC 80: Fuego Edition
GUAYAQUIL, ECUADOR — After six years away, Ultimate Combat Challenge (UCC) is making a fiery return to to take over Guayaquil with UCC 80: ¡EDICIÓN FUEGO!
This high-voltage event brings over 100 international bouts, featuring elite male and female fighters across MMA, Muay Thai, and Kickboxing. Initially scheduled for Saturday, October 18, 2025, the date has now been moved to Sunday, October 19 at Sports Garden Guayaquil.
For more than 2 decades, UCC has delivered over 100 events across Latin America. From Panama to Guatemala , it’s helped shape the regional combat sports scene. In doing so, it has elevated elite-level talent while giving fans unforgettable moments inside the cage and ring.
Building the Latin Super Pack
Much of UCC’s continued growth in this region comes from powerful partnerships. Two key figures—Felix Benites of Muchyk Fighting Championship (FMC) in Peru and Pancho Bajana of Liga de Fuego in Ecuador—are leading this charge.
Together, they are creating what Bajana proudly calls a “Latin Trio Super Pack.”
Benites founded Team Atemi Dojo in Trujillo. His team has grown into a respected training hub for Karate, Kickboxing, Luta Livre, and Boxing. Meanwhile, Bajana, a 20-year veteran of Kickboxing and Muay Thai, has built Liga de Fuego into Ecuador’s top grassroots promotion. He also serves as Secretary of the National MMA Commission.
When Sports Meet Entertainment
What truly sets these organizations apart is their attention to entertainment value. From custom fight posters and cinematic highlight reels to media coaching and athlete branding, fighters receive tools to promote themselves. As a result, they not only grow as athletes—but as personal brands.
In Bajana’s words, “Fighters need more than skills—they need a platform to grow their name.”
UCC 80: The Latin Showdown Awaits
Champions from FMC:3 and Liga de Fuego 9 will now clash at UCC 80 in Guayaquil. Fans across the continent are counting down the days to October 19.
