Chilean Yonathan Cárdenas continues to make waves. The grappler from Quellón will become the first national athlete to debut in UFC BJJ 7. His debut is scheduled for this coming April 2nd, and he will face Brazil’s Renato Canuto. The event will be available for free on YouTube.
From ADCC Gold to the Vegas Stage
Cárdenas’s journey through the gentle art has not gone unnoticed, as he has excelled in both Jiu-Jitsu and grappling competitions. The Apex Submission Head Coach was the ADCC Brazil Open champion and the 2025 Brazilian No-Gi champion in the adult lightweight division.
UFC BJJ is the new grappling league that everyone is talking about. In just six editions, and under the supervision of former MMA fighter and former BJJ world champion Claudia Gadelha, the organization has not gone unnoticed due to the high caliber of signings it has secured following its top-tier events.
