Chilean Yonathan Cardenas continues to make waves. The grappler from Quellón will become the first national athlete to debut in UFC BJJ 7. His debut is scheduled for this coming April 2nd, and he will face Brazil’s Renato Canuto. The event will be available for free on YouTube.
The announcement was made by the organization during the UFC BJJ 6 broadcast.
Cárdenas’ journey through the gentle art has not gone unnoticed, as he has stood out in both Jiu-Jitsu and grappling competitions.
Additionally, the Apex Submission Head Coach was the ADCC Open Brazil champion and the 2025 Brazilian No-Gi Champion in the Adult Lightweight division.
