Puerto Rican boxer Subriel Matias returned to the ring in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, demonstrating his power and stamina with a decisive knockout over Mexican fighter Roberto Ramirez. The super lightweight fight, held in the Ruben Rodriguez ColiseumColiseum, ended in just two rounds, marking Matias ‘ triumphant return after losing his IBF title. IBF TITLE title to Liam Paro earlier this year.
Ramirez initially challenged Matias with quick punches in the first round, but Matias took control in the second. With a quick succession of powerful hooks, Matias landed a left hook that put Ramirez on his knees, forcing the referee to count him out. “I had to lose on June 15 to be here today. This win means a lot to me and to my fans.” Matias said after his victory, reaffirming his determination to regain a championship title.
The co-main event also highlighted the Puerto Rican talent when bantamweight Jayvier Cintron secured a victory over Rashib Martinez of Mexico by unanimous decision, improving his record to 13-1.
Matias, who has faced challenges both inside and outside the ring, has steadily rebuilt his career since his loss to Paro. Known for his power and determination, he remains one of the top contenders in the Super Lightweight division and is aiming to regain a world title soon.
