Justin Gaethje is convinced that fate will put him against Ilia Topuria on the UFC White House card.
The former BMF champion, who captured the interim lightweight title after defeating Paddy Pimblett at UFC 324, has no doubt he will be part of the main event of the historic card, where he will have the mission of representing his country at the seat of the United States government.
In a conversation with The Pat McAfee Show, Gaethje stated that a fight against Topuria at the symbolic seat of government would be the ideal scenario in his career.
According to him, the idea of walking straight from the Oval Office to the Octagon, holding the American flag in his hands, is something he has been visualizing since his fight with Rafael Fiziev.
At that time, his plan was to face the Georgian fighter in early 2026 and defend the title at the White House.
“The Highlight” also acknowledged that plans have to be adjusted along the way. With Topuria stepping away temporarily due to personal matters, Gaethje ended up fighting for the interim title, keeping alive the possibility of facing him in June in Washington, DC.
