Mastering the 2025-2026 Season Rankings
The current AJP tour ranking period runs for 12 full months. This highly anticipated season officially kicks off on November 23, 2025. The qualification system focuses heavily on universality, high performance, country representation, and gender equity. To calculate your final standing, the system counts your seven best tournament results during this 12-month period. In addition, you can add an eighth result from the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam (Abu Dhabi Edition). Finally, your ninth result from the Abu Dhabi World Professional Championship 18th Edition also adds to your grand total.
Registration Fees and the Best Academy Prize
Signing up early keeps extra cash in your pocket. Normal registration (01 Dec – 16 Aug) costs is just $50, for late registration (16 Aug – 07 Oct) it’s $65. The best Academy Cash Prize is $1,000 USD. Keep in mind, your academy needs a minimum of 20 registered competitors to qualify for this reward. Competitors and academies can easily access their online credentials through the official AJP portal.
Essential Rules for Coaches
Coaches play a massive role in athlete success on tournament day. For this event, coaches can step inside the field of play to guide students in the Infant division and older. However, Kids 1, Kids 2, and Kids 3 competitors will not have coaches inside the barricades.
To corner your students, you must register as a coach before the strict registration deadline. You also need to hold a purple, brown, or black belt in Jiu-Jitsu. Also, you can only represent the specific club where you teach. If you are fighting in the tournament yourself, you cannot act as a coach on that same day. Your coach registration remains valid for all three days of the event and is strictly non-transferable. Make sure to pick up your wristband at the weigh-in station and follow the mandatory dress code.
