At the moment, rumors point to a possible fight against Ian Machado Garry. However, the champion’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz, indicated that Garry is not part of those plans.

“I can tell you this: the UFC is working on a huge fight for Islam Makhachev, but Ian’s name is not involved. Very big. One of the biggest fights the UFC can make right now. Stay tuned,” Abdelaziz wrote on X.
Even though the fight against Islam Makhachev has not been announced, Ian Garry has already gotten a head start and begun his preparation.
The Irishman based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, shared on his social media a trip to Georgia to prepare his ground wrestling, as the country has a solid wrestling foundation.
