He is gearing up for a massive co-main event clash against undefeated challenger Meiirim Nursultanov. Boxing fans can catch the highly anticipated fight on Saturday, September 19, live on DAZN from the Pechanga Arena in San Diego.
The Hometown Hero Takes Center Stage
This local event means much more than just boxing. Casa Grande Mayor Lisa Navarro Fitzgibbons will make a special appearance at the gym today. Earlier in March, she proudly awarded Ramos Jr. the Key to the City. He also received the “Hometown Legacy” award for his incredible dedication to shaping the future and identity of Casa Grande.
A Family Dedicated to the Community
His family shares this deep community bond. His father and trainer, Jesus Ramos Sr., recently earned high praise for his local contributions. Congressman Juan Ciscomani presented him with the “Inspirational Promoter of Education and the American Dream” award earlier this month. As a family, they opened the Ramos Boxing Academy in 2022. They also took over the historic Paramount Theatre right across the street. By hosting community events and an upcoming “Casa Grande’s Got Talent” showcase, they aim to fully revitalize the downtown area.
