The Arena CDMX buzzed with energy for Night 2 of AAA TripleMania 34, bringing massive title changes and unexpected betrayals. But the biggest story of the night? A historic, seemingly unstoppable championship run came crashing down.
The 1,128-Day Reign Ends
La Catalina pulled off the unthinkable. Making her AAA debut just a few months ago in April, she wasted no time climbing the ranks and capturing the attention of the Mexican fanbase. After surviving a grueling gauntlet match to earn her shot, she stepped into the ring on Sunday to face Flammer, the longest-reigning Reina de Reinas champion in history.
The match was an absolute rollercoaster. Late in the bout, Catalina seemed to have the win secured until her top-rope splash met Flammer’s knees. Flammer quickly capitalized, sending her challenger tumbling out of the ring with a sharp dropkick. At that pivotal moment, the champion looked up the entrance ramp, expecting her tag team partner, La Hiedra, to have her back.
But the ramp was completely empty.
That split-second distraction cost Flammer everything. Catalina recovered, launching the champion off the top rope before following up with a devastating hip attack. A thunderous running knee finally sealed the deal. Just like that, a legendary 1,128-day reign was over.
Worlds Collide: The Next Title Clash
There is no time to celebrate for the newly crowned champion because a dangerous challenger is already waiting in the wings.
During Night 1 of Triplemania 34, Roxanne Perez clawed her way to the No. 1 contender spot. She outlasted heavy hitters like Nattie, Faby Apache, and La Hiedra to win the match. Ironically, Perez pinned La Hiedra—who was also left high and dry without Flammer’s help during her own bout. Whatever tension is brewing between Flammer and La Hiedra, it is clearly spilling over onto Lucha Libre’s biggest stage and costing them matches.
Now, the stage is set. La Catalina will defend her freshly won Reina de Reinas Championship against Perez at Worlds Collide later this month.

- Copa Bardahl Match: Omos dominated a massive field to take the win. He defeated Mr. Iguana, Abismo Negro Jr., Histeria, Mascarita Sagrada, Taurus, El Fiscal, Laredo Kid, Mecha Wolf, La Parka, El Mesias, Dinamico, Texano Jr., Chris Carter, and Niño Hamburguesa.
- AAA Reina de Reinas Championship: La Catalina defeated Flammer (c) to capture the gold.
- Mexican Street Fight: Psycho Clown defeated El Carnicero. The match descended into pure chaos after Pagano opened the door for Carnicero to launch a brutal attack on Psycho, but the legendary clown still managed to secure the victory.
- AAA World Cruiserweight Championship: Rey Fenix (c) successfully retained his title in a frantic Fatal 4-Way against Nathan Frazer, Jack Cartwheel, and Mini Vikingo. Post-match, Perros del Mal made an epic entrance to Cartel de Santa’s “Perros” and proceeded to lay everyone out.
