Fans eagerly anticipating the arrival of the Mexican wrestling powerhouse Lucha Libre AAA to Spain now face disappointment, as Ticketmaster’s Ticketmaster y Live Nation have confirmed the cancellation of AAA’s European Tour. The tour, originally scheduled to kick off on November 21 in Madrid and continue with shows in Bilbao and Barcelona, is no longer going ahead, leaving fans across Spain wondering what happened.
Ticketmaster was the first to list the events as “cancelled“on its websitehalting ticket sales. Solo Wrestling, a reputable wrestling news source, broke the story and Ticketmaster has since provided an official statement on the tour cancellation. According to Ticketmaster, AAA event organizers decided to cancel the Nov. 21 show at Palacio Vistalegre in Madrid, and by extension, the entire tour.
In its press release, Ticketmaster confirmed the following:
“Unfortunately the Lucha Libre AAA event that was scheduled for November 21 at the Palacio de Vistalegre in Madrid has been canceled. Ticket refunds will be available starting November 8 through the purchase system. Online purchases will be refunded automatically”.
So far, Lucha Libre AAA itself has not issued a public response to clarify the sudden cancellation, leaving fans in Spain and beyond in suspense. Although the reasons for the cancellation are not yet confirmed, there is speculation about possible logistical or promotional problems.
For those who purchased tickets, Ticketmasterhas promised an efficient refund process starting November 8, and online purchases will receive automatic refunds.
