Combate Global and Samsung TV Plus
Combate Global is officially bringing the heat back to Mexico. On February 2, 2026, the premier Hispanic MMA franchise in the US announced a major expansion with Samsung TV Plus. This deal ensures that fans across Mexico can stream all 20 live television events scheduled for 2026.
Why This Partnership Is a Game Changer
The move follows a record-breaking year for Combate Global in the United States. After dominating ratings on traditional networks like Televisa and TV Azteca, the promotion is shifting focus. By partnering with Samsung TV Plus, they are reaching a “digital-native” audience. This demographic represents the youngest and most engaged fans in combat sports today. Therefore, moving to a digital-native platform like Samsung TV Plus ensures they meet their viewers exactly where they are.
A Strategic Move for Digital Fans
Samsung Smart TV users in Mexico now have exclusive access to the Combate Global FAST channel. This channel is a goldmine for fight fans. It features a massive library of over 140 past shows from the U.S., Mexico, Colombia, and Peru. Whether you want live action or classic knockouts, it is all available subscription-free.
Voices Behind the Partnership
Executives from both sides are celebrating the launch. Aline Jabbour, LATAM Senior Director for Samsung TV Plus, emphasized the power of live sports. She stated that they are excited to bring the MMA championship to all users in Mexico, strengthening their content offering.
Campbell McLaren, CEO of COMBATE GLOBAL, also weighed in. He noted that the success in the U.S. made the expansion to Samsung TV Mexico an “obvious move.” McLaren, who often calls the franchise “the salsa of MMA,” continues to drive the brand’s massive growth.
Upcoming Events to Watch
The action kicks off very soon. The first live event of the year is scheduled for February 26. The card will be headlined by the return of Mexican television star and fighter, Jawy “The Mexican Jake Paul” Mendez.
This event marks another milestone for the company. Combate Global became the first major MMA franchise to invest significantly in Mexico back in 2017. Since then, they have produced 23 live television events across six different cities in the country.
