UFC 328
Khamzat Chimaev already has his first middleweight title defense set. ‘Borz’ will face Sean Strickland in the main event of UFC 328. The announcement was made by Dana White this Thursday afternoon.
Chimaev is no stranger to victory, remaining undefeated in his MMA career. The Dubai-based Swede is undefeated in his 15 fights, with 6 wins by KO/TKO and 6 by submission.
In his last octagon appearance, he defeated Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 319, crowning himself the new middleweight champion.
Strickland will look to reclaim the belt he once held. The controversial fighter has been alternating between losses and wins in his recent appearances in the octagon.
The Xtreme Couture fighter is coming off a knockout of Anthony Hernandez in the main event of UFC Houston. Prior to that bout, he lost again to Dricus Du Plessis in the main event of UFC 312.
Sean will have the chance to silence his critics with actions, not words. If he manages to defeat Chimaev, in addition to taking his belt, he will become the fighter who ended his undefeated streak in MMA.
UFC 328 will take place next May 9 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
