The Caribbean Martial Arts Academy recently took place in beautiful Cartagena de Indias, Colombia. Naturally, athletes from across the region gathered to compete. Above all, the highly talented delegation from Kyusho Kenpo Castro completely stole the spotlight. They proudly represented Chile, the island of Chiloé, and their home city of Castro.
Intense International Martial Arts Competition
This exciting major event attracted top-tier competitors. Delegations arrived quickly from Guatemala, Mexico, Venezuela, Chile, and Colombia. The World Karate Federation, the Colombian Federation, and IDER officially endorsed the tournament. As a result, the overall skill level was incredibly high. Still, the five dedicated students and Sensei Benjamín Vidal from Kyusho Kenpo Castro confidently stepped up. They showcased immense talent in several challenging events. Their main categories included fast point sparring, traditional forms, complex weapons forms, and highly creative forms.

The energetic team secured truly outstanding results across the kids, teens, and adult divisions. The young athletes trained extremely hard, and their focus definitely paid off. Besides the students’ massive success, Sensei Benjamín Vidal delivered an absolutely exceptional performance. Competing in the fierce black belt category, he ultimately earned two impressive first-place trophies. Additionally, he proudly took home a well-deserved second-place medal.
