Isaac “La Bestia” Lucero
Mexican rising star Isaac “La Bestia” Lucero (17-0, 13 KOs) is ready for war. On October 25, Lucero will kick off a stacked four-fight PBC Pay-Per-View card live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, as he takes on fellow Mexican warrior Roberto Valenzuela Jr. in a can’t-miss super welterweight showdown.
A native of La Paz, Lucero enters the ring with confidence and a purpose: to win and win in style.
Born to Fight: A Legacy in His Blood
Boxing isn’t just a sport for Lucero—it’s family. His father, Isaias Lucero Sr., was a national heavyweight champion in Mexico, while his mother was the one who first pushed him to lace up the gloves to lose weight as a child. That love turned into obsession, and now “La Bestia” is chasing greatness under the bright lights of Las Vegas.
“Boxing helped me achieve my goals. My mom keeps me grounded, and my dad inspires me every day,” said Lucero. “Family and boxing are everything to me.”
A New Face of Mexican Boxing
Lucero trains in Las Vegas with world-renowned coach Bob Santos, aiming to write his name alongside Mexican legends like Julio Cesar Chávez, Juan Manuel Márquez, Roberto Durán, and Canelo Álvarez. Each champion brings something Lucero admires: Canelo’s discipline, Márquez’s resilience, Chávez’s movement, and Durán’s power.
It’s no surprise that Lucero earned the nickname “Baby Canelo” after sparring with Devin Haney’s team in 2019—but inside the ropes, he proudly carries the name “La Bestia”, a tribute to his father’s fighting spirit.
“Being Mexican means never backing down,” he says. “Our history is filled with champions. I want to be the next name on that list.”
