Argentine fighter Lucas “Tazmania” Ganin continues to build a career defined by international experience and sacrifice. After competing on stages such as ONE Championship, Ganin recently made his first appearance in Mexico, representing MFL against MMA México in Monterrey.
Despite the official result, Ganin highlighted the reception he received from the Mexican crowd.
“It was an honor to fight in the biggest arena in Monterrey. The people in Mexico treated me very well and congratulated me after the fight. They also told me they thought I had won. That recognition was emotional and helped me keep my head up despite the result,” Ganin told Fajador.
Learning From Difficult Moments
For Ganin, every result has been part of his development as a fighter.
“I learn from my losses. I have to keep improving my technique and physical conditioning. I know I can go further, and I trust the process.”
His journey eventually took him to ONE Championship, but behind those opportunities is a story rarely seen by fans. Ganin left Argentina without knowing what conditions he would face abroad. According to the Argentine fighter, he spent periods on his own, went some nights without enough money for food and even faced a high-level fight without a coach in his corner.
He also had to overcome injuries and other challenges during his preparation. His mentality through those moments has remained simple: “I kept moving forward. I never gave up.”
Sponsors and a Clear Goal
“Tazmania” is currently looking for sponsors willing to support the next stage of his career. Ganin points to his international experience, twice-a-day training sessions and the identity he has built around his aggressive fighting style.
“I market my nickname, ‘The Tasmanian Devil,’ very well. I create intrigue and surprise people when I get a knockout or a submission,” he explained.
His ultimate goal is clear: to become a champion and eventually reach the UFC.
Following his fight in Mexico, Ganin remained in the United States to train in Arizona. He told Fajador that he could potentially compete again in October and is currently waiting for a possible opportunity with LFA.
From Argentina to ONE Championship, Mexico and now the United States, Ganin continues to pursue a career that has demanded much more than what fans see inside the cage. With new opportunities on the horizon, “Tazmania” is determined to show just how far he can go.
