A Night of Action and Compassion
This Friday, October 11, the vibrant heart of Oaxaca will pulse with the electrifying energy of Lucha Libre with a Cause, a special exhibition aimed at supporting children and teens receiving care at CRIT Oaxaca. Hosted at La Casa de los Deportes, this community-driven spectacle blends adrenaline-pumping wrestling with heartfelt giving.
The event kicks off at 6:30 PM, but fans are encouraged to arrive early—tickets will be available from 4:00 PM for a donation of $150 pesos. As a token of appreciation, the first 150 attendees will receive a commemorative t-shirt, making it a collector’s item for true fans of Oaxacan lucha libre.
Free Entry for Kids, Local Stars in the Ring
In the spirit of inclusion, minors get in free, with the option to purchase the t-shirt via donation. It’s a family-friendly night that welcomes everyone into the ring of generosity.
Over 15 wrestlers—100% from Oaxaca—will perform, showcasing not only their high-flying moves and fierce personas but also their commitment to giving back. These hometown heroes are more than entertainers; they’re symbols of unity and cultural pride.
Lucha Libre as Cultural Identity and Social Power
Lucha Libre is more than sport—it’s woven into the cultural fabric of Oaxaca. This event reflects that deep identity while promoting a meaningful cause. The organizers emphasize that when Oaxaca joins forces, “the impossible becomes possible.”
