WWE NXT
The entire professional wrestling world is buzzing loudly after a surprising wave of WWE NXT cuts. On Friday, September 4, reports confirmed ten developmental talents suddenly lost their valuable contracts. This sudden move left many fans wondering what is next for the brand.
Top Names Leaving NXT
Wendy Choo and Adriana Rizzo are easily the most prominent stars featured on this massive release list. Choo played several memorable characters during her run. She famously played the dark leader Mei Ying, a sleepy fan favorite, and eventually became the Evolve Women’s Champion. Meanwhile, Rizzo made her mark alongside Tony D’Angelo. She helped anchor his mob boss storyline before suffering a recent knee injury. Sadly, their journeys in WWE have ended for now.
More Shocking Roster Changes
The releases stretch far beyond those two popular women. Jasper Troy, the LFG season one winner and former Men’s Speed champion, cryptically teased his exit on Friday afternoon. Soon after, Fightful Select confirmed the popular former college football player was indeed completely gone. Also leaving is PJ Vasa. She recently wrestled Ivy Nile on Main Event and feuded with Kendal Grey over the Evolve Women’s title. Vasa is now using her real name, Penina Tuilaepa.
Full List Of Released Talent
Wrestling journalist Sean Ross Sapp officially released the complete list of ten names. Along with Choo, Rizzo, Troy, and Vasa, the company also released Zena Sterling, Anya Rune, Braxton Cole, Gary Wilson, Ellen Akesson, and Marcus Brown. Passionate fans are understandably very upset about losing so much promising young talent in just one single day.
