On the next October 20, 2024Tang Soo Do Spirit Martial Arts School will host an important tournament at the Inving Saladino Sports City Combat Center, located in Ciudad Bolivar, Panama. This exciting event aims to promote healthy competition and camaraderie among martial artists from various disciplines. With more than 80 participants already confirmed, the anticipation is growing.
Master Eloy Tapia, founder of Tang Soo Do Spirit School, emphasized the importance of community and inclusion.
“We expect not only competition, but also a spirit of togetherness,” he shared. This tournament will feature competitors from five years old to veterans, ensuring a wide representation of skills and ages.
The October 12th a technical meeting will be held where the rules that will govern the tournament will be discussed. “We will consider the age and rank of the student, ensuring fair competition for all,” Tapia explained. This inclusive approach not only highlights talent in the martial arts but also enriches community spirit.
The Tang Soo Do Spirit School was founded three years ago with only four students and has now grown to include 15 active students from various ranks. The school not only teaches Martial Arts techniques but also emphasizes ethical and moral values, ensuring a well-rounded education for its students.
The school has a strong commitment to inclusion and works with children who have disabilities, including ADHD and Autism.
“We not only teach self-defense; we also instill values. It is fundamental that everyone has the opportunity to exercise and interact with society,” said Tapia.
This School is affiliated to the World Traditional Tang Soo Do Union and has achieved remarkable success, including gold and silver medals at an international congress in Bogota, Colombia. Bogota, Colombiain 2023.
